Understanding and Tackling Hate and Prejudice” Workshop in Bolton

On Sunday, 21st September 2025, the Great Lever Connected with the valued support of Dialogue Society, Bolton Interfaith Council, and the Northern Friends Peace Board successfully held a community workshop titled “Understanding and Tackling Hate and Prejudice” at Slaterfield Community Centre in Bolton.

The event brought together individuals from a wide range of backgrounds, all united by a shared commitment to community, compassion, and dialogue. The workshop featured thoughtful presentations and dynamic group discussions centred around themes such as neighbourliness, the ripple effect of small acts of kindness, and fostering a culture of care.

Following the engaging discussions, attendees were treated to a music sharing session. Participants took the opportunity to play their own instruments to take home as a memory of the day.

The afternoon concluded with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, enhanced by a delightful spread of refreshments and homemade treats, kindly provided by local volunteers. The shared meal not only satisfied appetites but also continued the spirit of unity and connection that defined the event.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all who attended and contributed to the success of the day. Special appreciation goes to our partner charities for their generous support, and to the many individuals who shared their stories, ideas, and positive energy.

We look forward to hosting more events in the future that continue to bring communities together through kindness, culture, and collaboration.
